Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as your language preference or login session.
2. How We Use Cookies
Koply uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. Our widget (koply.js) does not set any cookies on your visitors' browsers. It does store a random identifier in the browser's local storage, described in section 5.
3. Cookies We Set
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| koply_session | Maintains your login session in the dashboard | Session | Essential |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) | Session | Essential |
| locale | Remembers your language preference (ES/EN) | Session | Essential |
All cookies listed above are strictly necessary for the service to function. Under GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not load third-party scripts that set cookies on koply.eu. Stripe may set cookies on its own payment pages when you complete a checkout, subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. The Koply Widget
The koply.js widget that you embed on your store does not set any cookies. It stores one item in the browser's local storage (localStorage, key koply_sid): a random identifier that contains no personal data and expires after 24 hours. Koply uses it to connect a search with the click and the purchase that follow it, and to count sessions with and without search. It is not used for advertising, is not shared with third parties and does not track visitors across sites.
The ePrivacy rules on storing information on a user's device apply regardless of the technology used, so they cover local storage as well as cookies. Each store should decide, with its own legal advisor, whether to inform its visitors or to collect consent before the widget starts measuring. For that purpose the widget has a consent mode (trackingConsent: 'required') in which nothing is stored or sent until the store's consent tool authorises it; search works the same either way. See the integration guide (in Spanish) for the details and ready-to-use wording for your cookie policy.
6. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking session cookies will prevent you from logging in to the Koply dashboard. You can find cookie management instructions for major browsers at:
